Create your own New You.
When you are alone during an important day or celebration for a family to share and enjoy, you have no choice but just to let this day go and think of it as an ordinary day, like this new year.
I'm all alone, thousand miles away from home and during this time I started to write this blog. Trying to go back on every year that came to pass, it's like going back in time and watching a movie of my life.
And it was the year 1997 that takes much of my time on meditating.... ah 1997, the year that was.
Lots of good things happened to me within this year and I imagine if I could start it all over again and restart on this dates.
I find the dates Interesting about Friday in 1997 the same dates in 2014:
4/4/2014 Friday
6/6/2014 Friday
8/8/2014 Friday
10/10/2014 Friday
12/12/2014 Friday
We are then going to use calendar dates of 1997 in 2014.
Date & Day even Festivals are the same.

The New Year is a wide open door of opportunity for a fresh start, a new beginning and a second chance. Whether there are lessons to be learned from the previous year, or if you just fancy a challenge or a change, making New Year’s resolutions can be
really rewarding.
But I think about every New Year is not resolutions, but resolve.
New Years isn’t really about one year ending and another beginning. Calendar dates are simply memes we created so we know when to celebrate those ordinary days
and make it special days.
New Years is just like any other sunset: another blank page of your life that you get to
author any way you want, paint the picture and color it in any way you ever wanted.
The goals that really matter aren’t really about a New Year, but a New You.
Instead of wondering what the New Year will bring you, do some critical thinking on
what you will bring to the New Year.
I have come up with 4 thoughts I want to share with you that might help to get even better and make the year 2014 a New You.
1. Make small changes
One problem with the majority of New Year’s resolutions is that they’re too ambitious.
As much as you’d like to, you’re probably not going to get your milestone by the end of the year, and that’s okay. If you set daunting targets for yourself, you’ll just end up depressed when you don’t meet them. And it seems not so okay.
Instead, focus on small, achievable changes. You’ll have a far better chance of succeeding, and they’ll soon add up to contribute to more major improvements.
2. Think positively
One of the most effective steps towards improving your year doesn’t even require
lifting a finger. Approaching every situation with a ‘glass half full’ mentality will go a long way towards improving your year, and it’s something absolutely everybody can do. Happiness and optimism aside, it’s even been proven that thinking positively can have tangible health benefits, including reductions in stress levels and improved cardiovascular health.
3. Learn from your mistakes and failures
No one is perfect, everyone had made mistakes and failures. You can't change the law of the universe, you will have to make mistakes, it's always there. They might be trivial, or they might be life changing, but either way you will make them. Accepting this fact will make your life a whole lot easier. Don't be cautious to make mistakes and failures but don't let it be the stumbling blocks for your success.
Make a commitment to yourself, that you will attempt so many daunting, challenging and amazing things – I am certain to have a major failure with at least one of them. It's alright, because if your not willing to fail you are not willing to succeed.
You need to take a risk. You must do something that the 99 percent isn’t willing to do. Instead of watching other people live lives on TV and in the movies, you must chose to actually go out and live your own, make your own movie of your life. Rather than
getting worked up over things you do wrong, ask yourself how they could have been avoided, and what you will do to prevent them in the future.
Just as the walls that protect you from rejection also lock out love, the barriers you erect against failures will prevent you from reaching success.
4. Create your own New You.
What I do every time is to choose one word to summarize what I’m looking to do in the New Year. It’s not really about tactics or strategy, but the mind set I wanted to create. It’s really about attitude, about how you will run your own battle and deal with your challenges on the coming days.
For me, my word is NEWMEISBETTER, I write it on post it notes and have it stick on the walls of my closet, my door, put it on my bulletin board on my office, for me to remember what I wanted to and have my own motivation when the things go slow and goes wrong.
However, I’m more interested in the big picture idea:

- How do I reinvent myself to become a better person?
- How do I become the person that makes healthy choices, wants to work
out, and lives with Without? - How do I become more patient, more wiser, more caring, more loving?
- How do I make a dent, make an impact, make a difference?
- How do I create my own New Self?
Happy New You every one.
